Blackberry: Riders of the Storm

The Blackberry Storm is the first phone developed by RIM (research in motion) without a physical keyboard, in other words the Blackberry answer to Apple’s iPhone.
Cool: The device provides a 3.25 in (8.3Â cm) TFT-LCD flat touch-sensitive scratch-resistant screen, a nice camera with video recording capabilities, 1GB onboard memory and an expandable memory slot support for a microSD card of up to an additional 16GB and a rechargeable-replaceable Li-ion battery with up to 5.5 hours of GSM (roam anywhere) talk time.
Un-cool: Many reviewers complain of usability issues, lack of WI-Fi support and the fact that is not yet 3G ready like the iPhone.
Blackberry is a company that has been able to create a cult-like set of followers to the point of calling the device “Crackberry” among those ultra-mobile, ultra-connected junkies. If they keep making their brand strong, the minor technical difficulties will be overlooked by their loyal fans.
